A brilliant initiative for our school, helping us build stock for our new library. We are very grateful that this sort of funding exists, as it supports our students in their academic advancement, as well as their love of reading which, like so many, we are striving to improve. Thank you Raintree!
Hannah Newman, English 2ic (MYP) and Whole School Literacy Lead Hartsdown Academy, Margate
Participating in this brilliant scheme allowed me to increase my library stock much more than I initially anticipated. It basically meant the limited budget I had to spend on books didn't limit my choice and amount of books I bought - so delighted!
Caroline Woolston/ Learning Resource Centre Assistant Les Beaucamps High School, Guernsey
We have been delighted to order books from Raintree. The quality and choice (we specifically wanted to enhance our Foundation Curriculum subject reading material) was excellent.

Raintree's Match Funding Scheme was a fantastic help to my previous school. It allowed us to build two libraries for both key stages and develop our children's love for reading. It has been wonderful to see the progression of children's love for reading over time from the new high quality texts which have suited all children with varying interests. This wouldn't have been possible without Raintree's Match Funding Scheme!
Sophie Burrows, Phase Leader The Park Primary School, Bristol
Amazing way to purchase new stock and more with Match Funding Scheme. Enabled us to get a greater variety of reluctant reader stock for students isolating and in school.

A great scheme to get more books into children's hands and continue their love of learning through reading.
Catheryn Lodge, Administrator Cliff Lane Primary School, Suffolk
We were in the position of introducing Accelerated Reader into the school. Our budget was limited but it was essential to resource the initiative significantly. Raintree’s Match Funding Scheme not only provided the resource that allowed us to double the number of books we were going to order, but they were also able to direct us specifically to the books that best met the introduction of Accelerated Reader. Our children love them and (despite Covid) their thirst for reading has exploded.
Graeme Dow, Headteacher Anchorsholme Academy, Thornton-Cleveleys
This is an excellent scheme , which allowed me to purchase a really good range of book banded books to increase and replace the existing selection in our school library. This came at a most needed moment as due to current restrictions the main sources of increasing our funding was not open to us. I subsequently placed another order to add even more to our range as I was so pleased with the quality of the books.
Rachel Canavan, Librarian Craneswater Junior School, Southsea
After working closely with Raintree as part of their Match Funding Scheme, I was highly impressed with both the level of service and the reading texts that we received. Natalie from Raintree was incredibly helpful from start to finish and offered impeccable support when ordering our books. Each class now has a reading area filled with spectacular fiction and non-fiction texts, which match both phonetic ability and interests across the Key Stage. In particular, I was very impressed with the way that the Match Funding scheme offers texts that have clearly been designed to meet all areas of the National Curriculum. Thank you again Raintree!
Elizabeth Maguire, Reading Subject Lead Marston Green Junior School, Birmingham
Raintree’s Engage Literacy books have been invaluable in our setting. Some of our SEND learners really benefit from the repetitive nature of the early texts. The non-fiction books at the pink and red levels are age appropriate for some of our older readers still at an emerging literacy stage. Ordering is simple and the Raintree’s Match Funding Scheme has been fantastic in order to replenish our reading stocks.
Carla Nicholson, Outreach Teacher St Francis Special School, Lincoln
Our English team have loved discussing the books we would choose - it made us think carefully about what sorts of things we offer our children! And, Raintree’s Match Funding Scheme means we can buy twice as many! Thank you to our PTA for funding half the amount, too!
Catherine Mellersh, English Lead Meadowside Primary School, Gloucester
I found Raintree’s Match Funding Scheme an excellent way of sourcing new non-fiction titles and could search for books with an Accelerated reader quiz.
Sally Atkins, Librarian St Michael’s Middle School, Wimborne

Great value for money, particularly on non-fiction texts which can often be very expensive. A good range of books that are part of the Accelerated Reader programme, supporting us to encourage wider reading amongst our lower school pupils. Raintree’s Match Funding Scheme is very welcome as a means of stocking our library with quality books.

It was a treat to choose books with Raintree’s Match Funding Scheme. Most popular have been the horror books and the choose-your-own stories, and stories about different sports. Much appreciated.
